No reason he won't sign with Miami again. I don't see any other team that offers more.

Remember, the whole issue behind the salary cap was to prevent rich teams from buying up all the talent and force them to make choices.

Really wish ESPN would wake up and cover this.

Yeah, all we need are 20 talking heads rambling with aimless speculation about where he might play and who might play with him.

They announced he was opting out of current contract. But it doesn't mean he won't play for the Heat any longer. We'll see.

And deny Manziel and Tebow the limelight?

He goes back to Cleveland or goes to LA, he's in the same boat he was with the Cavs, or the Lakers in the post-Shaq/pre-Gasol era: Having to do it all himself. Now, if he had a healthy Kobe and/or Nash to go with, but that boat sailed long ago.

More than anything else, they need a big man. Hibbert (in 2013) and Duncan (in both finals) exploited the fact that the Heat couldn't guard a true center and, because they barely had to play man to man defense, were able to wait in the lane (which in turn allowed the perimeter defenders to be more aggressive).

They have a big man, Chris Bosh, at 6-11 he should be able to play some interior defense and offense, but he thinks he a small forward. Whether he doesn't want to play big or Riley and mini-Riley design it as such, he's a waste of talent at the position he plays.

He's way more likely to go to the Clippers than the Lakers.

Seeing him win a title with historically the shittiest franchise in sports history would be great fun.

Miami had a defense to solve that problem -- attack the dribbler up high. It worked well against Indiana because it didn't have a true point guard up top, so the Heat were able to get to the ball quickly and keep the offense extended. The issue for Miami against San Antonio wasn't the lack of a big man. It was that the Spurs pass so well and so quickly that Miami couldn't keep up. Also, that with Mike Miller gone and Shane Battier a shriveled husk of himself, the Heat didn't have the 3-point shooting it needed.

That said, I can't see him turning down the chance to play with a great rebounder inside. However, can someone explain how the Clippers could possibly be in play? The team already has $72 million committed for 2014-15. I guess there's a sign-and-trade, but would the Heat really give up James for, say, DeAndre Jordan, J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley?

Until this Sterling mess is settled LeBron ' I'm not playing in the NBA if Donald Sterling is an owner' James, will sign a contract with DOnald Sterling or the Sterling Family trust? Bucks before Bros.

The Clippers are reportedly willing to give up Blake Griffin (and others, of course) for him.

Chris Paul and Doc Rivers are the real draws for LeBron with the Clippers.
