That's every fucking year. In fact, it's probably more like, "These guys are Pirates."

How about Barry Bonds as player-manager?

That would make perfect sense. He could live in the Marriott Spring Hill Suites right across the street from PNC for free because he's a part owner of the hotel.

Nice place, too. I stayed there this past season. Need to be at the ballpark at 3:20? Leave your room at 3:18.

I've been wondering if Cora would get an interview for this gig. He's a great under-the-radar candidate. A third base coach for a World Series winner, scrappy player with a nice career, speaks Spanish, is kind of a hard-ass and he's a Vanderbilt grad.

Garner owns part of the hotel? Didn't know that.

  8. Pirates are interested in Cora in hopes of reviving their image among the Latin American ballplayers in MLB today and for the future. There's little doubt the Pirates are rebuilding and the GM meetings in November will be Huntington's opportunity to take advantage of the for-sale sign on assets like Bay, Nady, LaRoche, Marte, and Duke.

Good luck finding to Asian people in Pittsburgh.

Trading Bay at this point, when his value is down, is stupid. So, of course, the Pirates will do it.

    Leo Mazzone (no joke)

    Andy Van Slyke (dark horse)

  12. Van Slyke wants the job according to some people but he's very outspoken and it is believed ownership would say no to hiring him because of it.
