    Until the Pirates start having some first round draft picks make something of themselves, the Buccos will always be mucho succos.

    I thought the same - it speaks volumes that one of his former coaches gets the job and won't comment.

  6. Russell wasn't a great fan of McClendon even though he was on the coaching staff and didn't hold the opinion to himself when asked if he was interested in the job after Lloyd's firing. Russell can demand all he wants of his roster, he's not winning unless Huntington makes the right trades and signings this winter and then making the right draft choices and minor league development plan for the future.

    Good luck for all of that to happen within 3-4 years.
