Gregg Popovich disagrees. He was quoted as saying that if he were reffing, he wouldn't have called it a foul.

However, I'm of the school that you make the same calls in the 47th minute of an NBA game that you make in the first minute. And if I were the supervising official, that's exactly what I'd tell Joey Crawford.

If this game isn't an argument to get rid of Sternie boy, I have no idea what would be.

I think Pop was just being classy, and maybe thinking he might get a couple calls in the future from the refs by not bitching about this one.

As for Stern, I don't see how this could be considered cause to dump him. The Horry-Nash fiasco was much more of a travesty than this call, anyway.

And he probably remembered how he was at the other end of that non-call against LeBron a year ago during the NBA finals.
