Didn't they just add a body in Fredericksberg about a month or two ago?

    Maybe so.
Not sure what Fredicksburg did, though.

Quote from a friend at the P-D, who kept her job -- for now: "They laid off a total of 14 people from the newsroom. In a two year time span the newsroom through buy outs or laid off has lost more than a 100 people."

    Damn.

    This is hard to believe.

Hollway did a great job there.

Mary Junct just gave herself a bonus check with all the money she "saved" in St. Louis.

    Douchnozzle.

Not a single content producer (er, writer) there. I'm seeing this trend coming my way, too. Next up for extinction are those folks who know how to report but can't write particularly well.

Eric Mink and Tim Poor have been there forever and done about everything; I think both came over from the Globe-Democrat. Wonder if Joe Pollack is still there, and if he's reached 500 bills yet.

I've heard two of the people let go were a married couple.

With all these buyouts and layoffs everywhere around the country, that has to be one of the worst decisions I've heard of.

What kind of heartless person decides to fire a man and his wife on the same freaking day?
