Translation: We can keep on doing the stuff that might draw in some wingnut welfare in the form of advertising, new capital, etc.

I know it's all just corporate buzzwords, but the line about reducing the workforce to "give us new skills" is just so soulless. It doesn't even make sense.

One big chop now, so they don't have to do it again?

Hope they don't. But it's hard to take that thought to heart.

I'd like to say it's unbelievable, but it's really not. Corporate cocksuckers.

And why is it every frigging layoff memo has to use the words "transition" and "changing times"? Just admit things are fucked and you have to lay people off. At least they didn't say that the changing times were "exciting".

Good luck Moddy, and everyone else there.

And why do so many memos with corporate-speak bullshit include "we're still going to put out a quality product with strong coverage and a leaner, more versatile staff" or some other garbage? Baron's right. Just admit it isn't working or you fucked up, and move on.

Thoughts and prayers to the Times folks.
