Four gone and maybe another 20 to go today: http://jimromenesko.com/2012/07/27/st-louis-post-dispatch-lays-off-four-news-managers-more-cuts-coming/

(A second tipster says the four were called at home with the news after working their night shifts.)

If true, that is the very definition of Absolutely No Class at All.

If any paper besides Alabama's group and NOLA could use Warren Buffett, this is it. Always a fan of this paper but sick to see what death by a thousand cuts is doing to it.

Or Gannett. Or Newhouse. Or CNHI. Or.... anyone, really. We all have seen this movie over and over and over again the past few years.

    Any names in sports?

Also, it's not as easy as you think to move out of newspapers. It's not easy finding a job in any field these days.

23 people laid off, one known in sports. You can find his/her name easily enough if you want.

Not sure why we're playing guessing games.

Post-Dispatch sports content editor David Sheets just tweeted that he received, via phone call, notice that he's been laid off.

Love that Lee justified "rewarding" CEO Mary Junck with a bunch of stock because her compensation isn't on par with other newspaper chain CEOs. Nothing like trying to keep up with the Jones'.

Didn't want to post his name all over the board, but I guess it's okay because he did tweet it.
