Bud can't be that scared if he's giving himself that kind of raise.

Exactly. A pay freeze wouldn't hurt him a bit. So why he doesn't pass on any raise just to emphasize the potential gravity of the situation?

If you're going to lay off grunts who are making $25K, have the good grace to not do something at the other end of the scale that rubs it in their faces.

    Selig is an asshole.

Bud asserts that baseball's economic system needs tinkering:

Cripes, Selig gets 18 million??? Does that count against the Yankees payroll perchance?

No wonder Manny is still holding out.

Yes. A complete joke. Like the head honchos at mlb.com.

Also, mlb.com is slashing its travel budget something fierce. Get used to lots of road stories written from the beat writer's couch. Also, BUY A T-SHIRT!!!!

That ad is a joke this year. Was last year. And the year before, too.

It's part of a partnership/sponsorship deal between the two.

Monster can say "Look! MLB.com uses us to hire! You should, too!"

    I could go for a t-shirt. I have $22 that's burning a hole in my pocket.

That's sick. I can't tell you how many people have mentioned to me "Hey, MLB.com is hiring" because of this ad, even though everyone I know who works there tells me they are not.
