    I think I may have served some of these fine kind of folks at a gaming establishment many years ago. Lots of muttering and a boozy smell wafting past the fag clinging to the edge of a quivering lip.

    Jill Sobule's second album is one of the best albums of the 1990s.
    Every, single track is excellent, and most of them are storytelling songs:

    I was in a country bar in suburban Dallas this spring. Not a ton of character or anything. A big meet market.

    Anyway, after a run of one bro country track or another for a good hour or two, the bagpipes to "Copperhead Road" starts over the house speakers. Like 300 people rush the dance floor, me included. So I country line-danced to "Copperhead Road" in Texas. It was glorious.
