    Flipping back and forth, Leno isn't very funny without writers. Of course, I didn't think he was funny with them either.

    Why do late shows even need writers?

    Just start the show, say hello and bring on the guests. Nobody is tuning in for the monologues.

    Letterman just had a writer from Conan's show appear on the Top 10 List.

    I beg to differ. My grandma gets all of her news from Leno (preferred) and Letterman. She's been lost for the last few months.
