Been there lots and lots and lots of times but not in almost six years. And everyone knows how quickly Vegas changes. My flight is scheduled to leave in roughly 42 hours. I've stuidied up but are there any last-minute tips from somebody who has been there recently? Food specials, low table stakes, hidden gems, desperate women? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?

Make her show you her vagina BEFORE you pay. I can't stress that enough.

Be hard-pressed to find spectacular food specials, anymore.

Lowest limits are downtown, as a rule.

. . . and the high-end bars, in the high-end joints. As was once
said about pornography, you'll know it when you see it.

Don't carry an Obama sign to a McCain rally.

Downtown is still the best. Strip construction has made that area so much less enjoyable, IMO.

Get the players cards and use them. That's always a rule but make doubly sure this time. In this economy you can score a lot of free stuff, but you still gotta have the cards and show a little bit of play.

i just did a day trip to Vegas on Saturday. Construction was rampant on the strip. Made it hard to walk in places outside.

Low limits? I always find $5 tables at the Sahara.

Go to lasvegas advisor online and it has the best deals in town. Check out Ellis Island for a cheap steak or for a rib/chicken meal for under $7. If you like Thai Food, try Lotus of Siam.

Stay away from Stardust and Frontier and Barbary Coast ... they don't live there anymore*. Don't stay at the Tropicana, either, it might as well be history, too.

    * -- Barbary Coast was sold to harrah's and it's now Bill's or something like that. I'm still irked.
