Lasorda portrait in National Gallery

Cripes. One of the all-time douchebags (who somehow manages to keep his lovable fuzzball rep) his a life-size painting of himself in DC.

Hope he kept the f-bombs to a minimum during this speech.

 

As long as nobody asked him about Dave Kingman I'm sure the speech was fine.

 

1) Great photo.

2) I'm a Dodgers honk, grew up with Tommy, and I loved him as manager. He brought me 2 World Series titles, so I really can't diss him on any level.

 

Forget the Kingman rant, which was Tommy putting on a show and embarrassing a guy.

Try this one:

They had a microphone on him during the '77 World Series and this is the outtake when he goes to the mound to take out Doug Rau.

 

The portrait is probably more authentic than Tommy.

 

Lasorda then responded by disowning a portrait of his dead, gay son.

 

Simply fucking outstanding.

 

Yeah, I don't subscribe to Lasorda's personal policies. Seems like a mean guy away from the field.

 

That youtube clip is a classic.

Knight, by a landslide. But Lasorda's a close second.
