Excalibur still caters to families. They have to, being a castle and all. It's ok.
For the same range try the Monte Carlo...

Stayed at Excalibur once. Took forever to walk through the casino to the rooms and/or the exits followed by a long walk to the Strip. The room was very small and no-frills, almost like we were tucked into a corner of the property, but it was very clean and comfortable. That said, it was 2002 when I was there.

. . . 'cept the 21 "features" the most blatant preferential shuffling in town, especially from a certain demographic portion of the dealers. Count gets good? SHUFFLE UP! Count is -6? Deal, deal, deal those cards.

    Rat bastads.

And it's awfully, awfully noisy, given the broad lack of wall insulation in the primary casino areas. Was there the week it opened . . . don't think I've been back three times, since.

  6. I love Bill's! Made $125 there playing blackjack at a $5 table; and Fat Elvis rocks

Bill's rooms and location are first-rate.

Too bad it's now under the influence of the Harrah's malignancy.

Really? I thought I read some bad reviews on one of the travel sites about that place.

I have a shirt, a water bottle, pen and two notepads from Stardust.

Not sure it's enough to start up our own Stardust hotel, but it's a start!

Used to play in the Stardust's daily slots tournament, something like $10 per entry. Made the finals once and got some cheesy electronic gadget.

I considered bidding on a poker felt, but they were way out of price range. My plan was to use it as backdrop in a big frame for some photos of our trips there.
