A friend just passed this on to me:
    .

I've never seen Jerry Seinfeld as irritated as he is with Larry King, who asked him a ridiculous question for anyone alive during the "Seinfeld" years: "You gave [the show] up, right? They didn't cancel you; you canceled them?"

Of Seinfeld's defensive reaction, King says, "Boy. Don't take it so bad."
Seinfeld says, "There's a big difference between being canceled and being No. 1."

Jerry ends with "Can we get a resume in here for me, so Larry can go over?"

I thought it was pretty funny. And George Costanza was right. When Seinfeld gets upset, his voice just raises to this comedic pitch.

King seemed a little miffed too when Seinfeld asked for the resume.

Seinfeld's joking around. He's a COMEDIAN, he JOKES AROUND.

Does King ever know anything about his guests?

I'm betting someone had to tell King that Seinfeld was a famous comedian who once had the top show on TV.

Just keep pitchin' those softballs, Larry.

    Who loves ya, baby!

Wow, shame on Larry King to actually ask someone to confirm something that happened a freaking decade ago. And it was obvious Larry King knows the show wasn't canceled: he asks, "you canceled them, right?"

Seinfeld:"Do you know who I am?"

King:"Did you work with Frank & Dean?"

In a Playboy interview in the 1980s, King said something about intentionally not doing much research on guests. His reasoning, as I recall, was he didn't want preconceived notions to affect the spontaneity of the interview and cause him to ask a predictable question when he could be more in the moment of live radio or TV.

Sounds like that's still his approach.

I saw this and cringed. Perhaps King has spending too much time proclaiming every movie he sees to be "the best movie ever" for movie advertisements.

Seinfeld: 'Do you know who I am?'
    King: 'I pooped my diaper.'

Next thing you know, he'll be calling Ringo Starr by George Harrison's name.
