How can anyone question this with a straight face? Zero wins in the preseason, one win in the first five games, an early exit last season...Brown is not the guy. It's not a rebuilding season, it's a NOW season. Why drag it out?

It's Phil's deal if he wants it. If not, D'Antoni.

Fine, but you had an entire offseason to do that.

I would like to see the humble Phil Jackson return to L.A.

He can be however he wants to be -- as long as he's in the high chair coaching the team.

    A(wo)man.

All the hand-wringing about a guy who was lucky to be employed on Day 1 of this season is amusing.

One thing we can be assured of: Woj will break the story of who is the next coach.

He was sick of coaching them?

The only people questioning it aren't really questioning it. They're concern trolling on behalf of Mike Brown because they loathe the Lakers and would've liked to see him continue to be awful and play Kobe 42 minutes in blowouts.

I can't believe ESPN devoted so much time to this.

Don't they have other breaking stories about teams and coaches that have won the most championships in a major sport during the network's 30-plus year history?

God help us if ND beats USC -- ESPN will be all Notre Dame, all the time.
