Lady Techsters not interested in WNIT

    Now that the NCAA is running the NIT and WNIT, should La. Tech face some sort of punishment?

    Well the name says Invitational. Do you accept every invitation you ever get. What if you're invited over to an ugly girl's house at the end of the night? I think that's rather analagous myself. ;D

    There's no obligation to go. I think teams can even decline automatic invitations to the various NCAA tournaments, if they are so inclined.

    And are you sure the NCAA owns the WNIT?

    Upon further review, the WNIT was not included in the NCAA's settlement with the MIBA.

    So ... um ... nevermind.

    Fuck La. Tech. They shoulda kept their home conference winning streak intact instead of losing to a much less talented (but harder working) Boise State team. Buncha fucking whiners.

    Actually, the name says Invitation. The AP story got it wrong, as do many others.
