Mock the CFL all you want and generally it is warranted, but it still boggles my mind that the AFL has had a video game made for it, but still none for the CFL.

Strike over. Players want to play, according to one source, who is apparently clueless that 99 percent of residents in San Antonio don't care for arena trash sports.

Reading this story, I have no idea how San Antonio has existed all these years without an Arena League team ...

One of San Antonio's former Arena Football teams holds the record for fewest points scored in a game. I think they only got a field goal in that game but they were within moments of being the only AFL or af2 team to have ever been shut out.

Cleveland Gladiators strike for the day and forfeit to Pittsburgh. No word on if they forfeited to the Pittsburgh replacements:

Eh, this stuff used to happen all the time in the old ABA. (yeah, the one with the red, white and blue ball.)

Seriously, the players who play in these leagues would do so for nothing but the love of the game. They're the same types you see in the "semi-pro" leagues. Guys wanting to relive high school glory days and hoping for a 1-in-a-million shot to be the next Kurt Warner.

This reminds me of the episode of "Undercover Boss" I saw where the employee training the Checker's CEO-in-disguise complained about how managers elsewhere make 11-12 dollars an hour, but at Checker's, they only make 10. So in the meet-up at the end, the CEO informs the lady, who was making 8 dollars an hour as a crew member, that's going to be a manager and get a 25% raise, and the lady was overjoyed.

What a shame nothing's improved in 40 years.
