It is the highest profile crime case in the city of Los Angeles right now. A young man with no gang affiliation was shot dead by illegal alien gangbangers.

The father of the victim has taken up the cause to get Special Order 40 (which prevents police from inquiring about the immigration status of arrestees) taken off the books. The father claims he received pressure from many city officials he's met with, to back off.

The prosecutor assigned to the case, Michelle Hanisee, essentially threatened to paint the victim as a gang banger, so the crime could be treated as gang-related; not a hate crime.

Hennesey was removed from the case by the city's District attorney.

And not one sentence in the LA Times about it. Because this case covers so much that simmers in the city of Los Angeles: Gang violence, racial tension, immigration, Sanctuary City policies.

This poor man's son has been killed. The mom is serving in the Army in Iraq. The father is pressing the city to do something about the illegal alien gang problem.

And nothing about the developments in the case in the Los Angeles Times. Nothing. Nothing in the front page. Nothing in the California section. Because addressing the illegal alien issue and ethnic cleansing that is going in in Los Angeles doesn't fit your agenda, you act like Pravda.

Radio stations are covering it. BLOGS! are covering it. And *crickets* from the Los Angeles Times.

Die, you POS agenda-based newspaper. You deserve every bit of dwindling circulation you are getting.

Go ahead and cover aid for Cuba and the Chile volcano. And stem cell grants. And while you refuse to cover an issue that hits LA city residents right right where they live, you blow it off.

Not much to argue here, Poin.

Although I personally would redirect a lot of my anger toward the DA and the police, as opposed to the LAT. Those groups are much more deserving of the vitriol.

Well-said, Poin. Especially the stuff on that heinous Special Order 40.

The LAT has blown off the simmering illegal immigration issue for, well, forever, so this shouldn't surprise you in the least.

Alley's right. While you're at it, please direct some of your vitriol toward LA's grandstanding mayor who -- as you know -- has tried going to ICE to get the raids on businesses employing illegals called off. ICE told him where to go and how to get there.
