L.A. Times better off with early deadline

    "The L.A. Times new earlier print deadlines missed another local sports game, Saturday's Kings sell-out against the Montreal Canadiens, despite an earlier start."

    The game started at 7, half hour earlier than normal for Kings home games.

    The edition of the LA Times I saw on Sunday had a column on the Kings-Canadiens game.

    No, Helene Elliott. And, yes, it was live off the game.

    It's not good that a few early papers didn't have the column. But it's quite a mistaken leap to say all the papers didn't have it.
