if double j wasn't looking to start a fight the thread may have been called 'i don't like nirvana' -- but then he wouldn't have gotten his precious attention, so, you know, hence, 'kurt cobain sucked'

You know what? To me Poison was truer than Nirvana. Did their songs have a deeper meaning or affect people in the same way? Probably not, but I've always liked their music better and identified more with it. That's all that matters. That's my preference. You don't like it or agree with it, fine. Haven't read this thread.   Never heard a Kurt Cobain song.   All I know about rock and roll is Hendrix,  Zeppelin and the Doors.   Since this appears to be a rock and roll thread I thought |I would post it here. Here's the thing.   I watch a lot of HDTV for no other reason than it is |HDTV.    There's this special that's on INHD channel right now on a band called the Phish.   Heard of them of course, again never heard them perform before.  Am I missing something? They play incredibly boring music, the equivalent of nothing but musical cliches but they seem to have a huge following.    Whats the deal here?   Thanks
