Cobain is dead, and I don't feel so good myself.

 

It was one of the few celebrity deaths that really impacted me. To be fair, I was 20 and had seen one of his final US concerts. I'd also had a football teammate in high school kill himself, so it resonated with me more than when someone overdoses.

 

A note found in his wallet, just released now:

“Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife,” he wrote. “even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring…”
