KU beat writer - Kansas City Star

  1. The Kansas City Star Media Company Sports Department is looking for a full-time University of Kansas beat reporter. Qualifications include prior experience covering a beat at a mid- to large-size daily newspaper, proven sourcing and interviewing skills and ability to write in/for a range of styles and platforms, including social media, breaking news, blogs, profiles and authoritative analysis. This is an extremely competitive beat covering the highly competitive KU program.     Just kidding. FYI, Jesse is the Topeka Capital-Journal KU writer, so this is a good move for him IMHO!

    Jesse is a great dude and outstanding reporter. I'm not sure anyone in the country has adapted to the new challenges of working a beat any better.

    Don't know if this is true. Just checked in with Jesse to ask. Either way, that's a pretty obvious choice for KC. I don't know why they'd choose anyone else.
