Big question is, how soon before Jay Bruce is the Reds' starting center fielder?

    Dude, Corey's my centerfielder.

If this didn't happen when they spent 40mil on Francisco Cordero, it should have happened when they hired Dusty.

Trading two starting everyday players for a bunch of bullpen washouts didn't help, either (though Daryl Thompson is currently tearing it up in Double-A).

To do list (assuming he can't fire Dusty)
    1. DFA Corey Patterson, Jay Bruce in CF
    2. DFA Matt Belisle, Homer Bailey in the rotation
    3. Don't let Dusty throw Bailey, Cueto, Volquez, etc.. 3 million innings this season

They have the young pieces to build around.

I think this had as much to do with Krivsky's people skills as the W's and L's. Shame he didn't work, he did a good job of cleaning up the mess that was the Reds' minor league system.

Hopefully the comedy show in left field is coming to an end and they sign a right-handed bat.

Volquez, while filthy, isn't exactly efficient. He probably won't see the eighth or ninth inning much this season, unless Dusty wants him to throw 200 pitches in a game.

Which, now that I think about Dusty Baker...

Dude, he's not white. He can play longer in hot weather, dude.

    I can't say this enough.

That Dusty Baker landed in the NL Central--home of A_QB's fucking Cubbies--is proof God has a sense of humor and wants to see us happy. :D

If he really had a sense of humor Dusty would be managing the Cardinals.
