Jon Krakauer's book on Pat Tillman, "Where Men Win Glory," is out. Bought it today and already a good read hard to put down. Typical must-read Krakauer.

There was a thread on S&N which I think has kind of veered into a journalistic talk.

Didn't know about previous thread---I went three pages deep into this site without seeing anything, si I posted my thread. Noticed that last posting on that other thread was two weeks old.

Can't be a crime in starting a new thread in same topic, right?

Uh, no? I was just pointing out that one in case you wanted to see what others had said. I didn't call a d_b, plus it was on s&n for the Tillman angle instead of on j-topics for the Krakauer angle.

    Calm down.

The last post on the first Krakauer/Tillman thread was less than three hours ago.

OK. I get a bit perturbed when I get called out and thought that was the deal here. Thanks for the reference.

Reason I'm a bit defensive is that I've gotten blindsided with d_b charges when all I did was start a post on something I didn't know was there. I come to this site about once every other day for 5-10 minutes and don't spend hours here like a number of folks obviously do when you count their posts, and then act like they are the gods of this site with a hair trigger blasting away at someone for innocently posting something already there but perhaps buried two or more pages down.

    I didn't see it. What's your point?

That it shouldn't have been so hard to find the original thread. The d_b stuff can be stupid, but it's pretty easy to do a keyword search to see if a thread has been started on a particular subject.
