Yes, I really think that. Not all clothing is pre-approved for on-air talent.

To avoid any future questions ESPN should have their on air talent wear uniforms like cast members wear at Disney theme parks.

What's interesting about this is how strict ESPN is with the dress code of its male counterparts. One of my friends who works there was chastized for his taste in suits and this is someone who is on the air about 1/1000th as much as someone like Hannah Storm.

I know guys who work there who have been ripped for gaining weight, losing hair, etc...

But somehow Hannah's schoolgirl skirt and go-go boots was deemed acceptable.

A lot of times this site makes me feel old, or aka my age.

This thread makes me feel young. Really amazed to see the outrage/disdain over what I view as a rather straightforward outfit.

Apparently, our female SportsCenter anchors should be along these lines:

    or these:

Rachel Alexander always looks good and classy and hardly looks like June Cleaver.

Yeah, I think we're drawing a peculiar line here. It's not red blouse/plaid skirt/red boots vs. 50's-era TV mom. It's "is this the right look for Hannah Storm?" Should Betty White wear that outfit? Or Stuart Scott? Wait, don't answer that.

Red! I want red, there's no substitute for red.
Red! Paint it red, green ain't mean compared to red.

You don't know what it does to me,
    My crimson intensity
    I'm haunted by the mystery,
    The mystey of red.
    Red knocks 'em dead,
Some like it hot, I like it red.

Red is my lover, got it covered
Red is my number, sure as a comer
Red is my drummer, and I hear red thunder
    Move over brother,
    Red's a motherfucker
    Red! Red!
    Thats' what I said
    Red! Red!
    Come on to bed
    Red! Red!
    Gimme' that expensive spread..

Most newscasters and sportscasters do it right, keep it classy, professional and conservative.

Hannah Storm's job is to present a video package of Kobe Bryant dunks. Does her wearing a skirt and boots somehow negatively affect that?

    Apparently, it does.
