Knight to be an analyst for ESPN

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by ondeadline, Feb 28, 2008.

  1. I've done it. You're right. And you know what else?
It's just not fucking worth it.
I can get almost the same insight, more laughs, and enjoy myself more with other coaches rather than seekiout a sociopath who openly derides my profession for laughs and then sucks down a salary from it the first time he needs a paycheck.

    Bravo, F_B.
Yes, he's a great basketball mind, that doesn't justify him being a bi-polar condescending prick.

Can you think of many other analysts who know more about the game than he does?

    Knowledge of the game?

    Yes.

We also know he can talk.

    Oh . . . can he talk.

Heck, we're talking about an industry where Dick Vitale and Digger Phelps are the standard.

i'm guessing he'll fall far below the phelps (mendoza) line.

That's pretty much what I had in mind. I wonder how Jeremy Schaap feels about this.

  10. Who's next? Kelvin Sampson? ESPN could call him, but I bet they'd get a busy signal.
