I'm a very claustrophobic person. I get short of breath just reading about caves and shit like that.
    No no no.

I've never understood the appeal of caving or skydiving. I hope this story has a happy ending but it sure doesn't sound good

When my wife was in her late teens, she and some fiends a got lost in the caves at enchanted rock in Texas for a few hours. I get claustrophobic just hearing her talk about crawling on their stomachs to find a way out.

Yeah, just thinking about that could give me a panic attack. No thanks.

Crawling on my stomach in a tight space for 15 feet in a haunted house a few years ago swore me off them. At one point, I wondered if I would take a full breath again.

I've been caving in the southern part of Thailand in a national forest called Khao Sok. It was one of the best experiences of my life, although southeast Asian cave spiders are the subject of my nightmares. Caving is an incredible experience, but I was largely unprepared for what we did. It's very easy to get yourself in trouble if you A) don't know what you're doing or; B) rely too much on your guide.

Just heard on the radio that they've been found alive.

Yeah, wow. Great stuff. Can't imagine being a parent going through that. Or them.

They survived on nothing more than cave water and orange slices. :p

    Great news.
