The two names that hit me were Ruslan Salei and Pavol Demitra. Very sad.

And Stephan Liv. Don't remember if he ever cracked the Wings' roster, but he was in Grand Rapids.

I watched Josef Vasicek play in the OHL for Sault Ste. Marie. What a beast as a junior....

McCrimmon's Wiki page has been updated with his death. I can't get the team's page to load.

Nation's accident rate is 13 times higher than the world average.

The enormity of this tragedy is almost hard to comprehend.

Sounds like a team plane, or at least a charter. 36 of 37 dead, the survivor in grave condition.

I've been to Yaroslavl. Big city, but I can't imagine the mourning.

...and I turn on ESPN to see news on this...and they are interviewing Miss America about singing the 7th inning stretch of last night's O's/Yanks game.

    Fuck you Bristol.

Players' Wiki pages updated with this: Lokomotiv officials said "'everyone from the main roster was on the plane plus four players from the youth team.'
