mexico determines the name Kevin is inappropriate and bans it, along with Azul (blue) and Lluvia (rain) or any uncommon spellings of normal names.

The irony here is that I've always thought Chihuahua is the most ridiculous sounding name for a breed of dog.

I used to live in the middle of nowhere in the Chihuahuan Desert in an area that actually had a lot of tourism because of some beautiful mountains and parks in the area. One of the things we'd tell tourists to amuse ourselves was to "watch for the little packs of Chihuahua dogs running across the desert...that's how the Chihuahuan Desert got its name." A couple of Canadians actually fell for it once.

Maybe Bush will use his overly broad claim of executive power for good instead of evil and implement this here. You must pick your kid's name from this government pre-approved list.

No more scrabble-board baby names! That's a political winner!

Damn, just when I wanted to quit my job, move to Mexico and name my first-born children Kevin, Azul and Lluvia, the Mexican government goes and does this. For shame.
