Anyone from outside the Bluegrass state running a wire story this year?

I'll figure out what my headline is, once AP decides to send an optional. It's only been 3 1/2 hours after the race.

You can't write a headline without the optional?

I can. I was just making a point on how slow they were getting an optional. :)

Point taken. I actually got tired of waiting, grabbed the latest write thru, read it, placed it, got the jump ready and decided to check the wire one last time. Of course, there it was. But the optional didn't provide anything better — just a forced lead-in.

I was heading to MCT to get a story when the optional moved. Didn't see much better there.

Seemed really slow to me, too ... and it took AP quite a few takes to hit the 10-inch mark.
