    I'll second the Caro works, throw in a nod for Michael Beschloss Reaching for Glory Johnson's secret White House tapes and David Talbot Brothers, about the Kennedy's uneasy relationship with Johnson.

    Listening to the LBJ tapes is an absolute must, as has been mentioned. (They include him trying to charm Jackie O, to not much success.)

    Can't wait for Caro's take on this, but in an interview tagged to the recent 100th anniversary of LBJ's birth, it didn't sound like we should expect the book anytime soon.
