    I agree with your last statement to an extent. You can't forget about DiMaggio, Bauer, Rizzuto and Kubek a little later. I don't think of Stengel as an icon, either, but seven titles in 10 years is something no one has ever done before and something no one will never do again.

    Torre had 4 in 6 and probably should've had many more.

    Bobby Cox could've had 8-10-12 W.S. titles with the Braves' string of 14 straight division titles. Then something strange always happened to the Braves into the playoffs.
