Admittedly, I haven't. Other than reading Feinstein's book on Knight and watching the Hoosiers once-a-year when they're in town, I'm not too familiar with the Hoosiers or their fans.

I know several IU fans, but most of them are casual IU grads. I don't know any die-hard IU basketball fans.

IU would've been best-served hiring Dana Fife and watching him build up the program.

Instead, they wanted some name value, and they got Sketchy Sampson.

Be thankful for that. The die-hards make it very difficult for anyone to coach there, and there are a lot of them.

Worse than your average joe blow Kentucky fan?

If they are, I have to meet some of these people.

Having lived on the border of Kentucky fandom and IU fandom for years, yes they are.

Ladies and gentlemen, Coppin State is proud to introduce Kelvin Sampson as its new men's basketball coach.

Neither. They aren't the alpha and zed of the known universe.

  10. I would rather a slimeball who doesn't choke his players.
    That was easy.

If you knew Kelvin Sampson, it'd be a harder choice.

    Interesting reading.

    Sampson won't survive this.

Mark Few, please pick up the Red Courtesy phone........

Sampson makes Jim Harrick look like a saint.
