Beating 3 Tobacco Road teams to do it too.

BTW basketball tradition doesn't mean shit to the ACC anymore. Consider: double round robin schedules, games at Cole, games at Reynolds, the Les Robinson Invitational.

Which Tobaccy Road team do you cheer for? Mr. Tobacco Road's Hockey Team in your avatar?

It jumped the shark when the Les Robinson Invitational was started thanks to Florida State's entry.

Still would take ACC ball over Big XII, any day.

  4. I'm not wild about it being in Tampa, simply because it's within a short drive of only three teams (not including the N.C. trio). I have no problem with it being in Charlotte or Atlanta, though.

Short being relative. Tampa's a good 5 or 6 hour drive from Miami, several hours from Tallahassee.

Tampa really makes no sense at all, except that they have an arena there. Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, Boston, Richmond, or Baltimore are the only alternate sites that make sense. And that's if Baltimore ever builds a new arena to replace the piece of shit they have there now.

  7. Exactly, so why even have it there? At least the Georgia Dome makes sense as a solid basketball venue.

The ACC Tournament excitement isn't anywhere close to what it was when teams had to win it in order to make the NCAA tournament. Now it's only like that for the teams at the bottom of the league.

Regarding the state of North Carolina's strength in the ACC: It's likely that, for the first time in league history, only one North Carolina team (the Tar Heels), will finish in the top four in the regular-season race. It's unlikely Duke will be able to finish fourth. In every previous season, at least two N.C. teams finished in the top two.

Instead, it's likely that, for the first time, there will be two Virginia teams in the top four.

That's rarely an option because the SEC has the facility booked for its tournament.

I never hear Big East fans griping about the tournament being in MSG, even though it frequently has served as St. John's home floor. So why do the ACCers gripe about the event being in North Carolina? Oh yeah, I know. Because the Carolina schools always win.

Because ACC fans are a bunch of whiny little bitches?

Fitting that the Piss & Moan King on this board makes a stupid blanket statement.

    Bleep you, too.
