    Hell, Vahe uncovered dirt on Stewart so frequently Stewart once seemingly threatened Vahe's young child, IIRC.

    You recall wrong. It was Jim Thomas' child Stewart said he "had some people in Detroit who could take care of" Jim's kid.

    And it was a Missourian reporter — a former attorney who wanted something else out of life — who first reported on that.

    And I'll add to everyone else who has said it: Vahe is a really good guy. Hell, ask any former Missourian or Maneater sports writer and they'll likely tell you the same. Good for him, and good for the Star now getting back to two columnists.

    Stewart had more threats to reporters than he did Elite Eight appearances.

    I was at the Missourian when Vahe was there and, absolutely, I'll second, third and fourth him being good folks. Congrats to him.
