Having purchased quite a few of her creations over the years for ex-wives and girlfriends, I personally experienced this woman’s huge influence on fashion. I don’t know if she grappled with depression or what the cause was, but this is shocking.

There are a lot of women losing their shit right now across America.

This is on par with Len Bias or Earnhardt for sports fans.

She left behind a 12-year-old daughter, who is now fucking ruined for life.

Can't disagree with that. One journalist friend (hardly the fashionista type) posted how she was in a low-paying newspaper gig and squirreled away money for a while to get a Spade bag.

    Yup. Ugh.

Hung (or is it hanged) herself by the doorknob? How high up on the door was the knob, or is it too early to ask that?

Listened to her NPR Planet Money/How I Built This interview just a few weeks ago. And given that she's a KC native, you can imagine how this will play locally.

I believe Robin Williams killed himself in the same manner.

I can visualize that. One must be truly determined at that point to punch their own ticket that way.

I just googled Andy Spade and, well, I wonder what he looked like when he was younger.
