Actually, I have a very, very strong interest in the other, too. I doubt the order will matter. I'll be geeked out by both. ;)

Well, unless you have a fighting spirit and a flathead screwdriver ... buck up, IJAG!

They just finished renovations on the Liberty Memorial (the WWI one) and it's a good time for non-history buffs, too.

As for the haters, stay away ;)

    Seriously?

It means it's open if you make it open. With, you know, a fighting spirit and a screwdriver.

But the 'buck up' implied I was in some way torn up by not being able to go.

    Which isn't the case.

    So, it's whatever.

No, I meant buck up (were I talking to a man I might say man up) and find a way in.

  9. For some reason, I never hear anybody mention the best BBQ I've ever had.

How it compares to the other places I'm not sure, but it was incredible when I went.
If you're into art -- and I'm guessing a car full of guys won't be -- there is a pretty good museum in KC.

In agreement with all that. And for as many people who have already seen the Negro Leagues HOF, I'm embarassed to say I haven't made the trip. Been meaning to, wanting to ... just haven't found the time to do it. And second the Nelson Atkins notion, it's a great museum.
