It’s worrh noting that Kaepernick has no interest in explaining himself; he doesn’t do interview. He’ll pretend on Twitter musical acts wanting to play the Super Bowl have to kiss his ring, but actively advancing his cause via public speaking? Nope.

Who's in charge of Breer? And Smith? And Jay-Z?

And on a side note.. why do people think Jay Z is looking out for Kaepernick's interests here?

Rhoden lost me with the first sentence. Kaepernick "proved beyond any doubt that he belongs in the NFL." By throwing at a high school stadium with no defense. Sure. Come clean, Bill, and tell us you had that column 90 percent written before you left your hotel.

Would Kaepernick be safe? I'm not talking about a good ROI for the league or whatever team signed him. Is it unreasonable to worry that he would be a walking target for bellicose players who still think it's about disrespecting the military or batshit Right Wing types who want to count coup?

He had some things to say in 2016 - pig socks, support for Castro - but it wasn’t particularly enlightening stuff

Or maybe he understands it doesn't matter what he says.

People have already decided what they think of him.

    Like Nike.

He wore socks portraying all cops as pigs. As far as I'm concerned, he can go fuck off forever just for that.

“There are things we can do to hold them more accountable. Make those standards higher. You have people that practice law and are lawyers and go to school for eight years, but you can become a cop in six months and don’t have to have the same amount of training as a cosmetologist. That’s insane. Someone that’s holding a curling iron has more education and more training than people that have a gun and are going out on the street to protect us.”

Maybe he should go into law enforcement. He's got the time now.
