    after about the third day in Vancouver, with hockey wall to wall in any bar, I told my wife that if we were up here for a year, I'd probably become a hockey fan.

    It was late one night, and some sports channel had the Top 50 hockey plays of the month (not certain, the sound wasn't up).

    And here's the 45th best hockey play in December!

    Echo those words. Tim's is just too convenient for us. They are everywhere so you end up going just for comfort's sake.

    I'm sure that one store is one of many they own but still. What's the point? If you have the money to do anything in the world, running a Tim Hortons wouldn't be at the top of my list.

    Just to be clear, I worked in diners and luncheonettes through high school. I eat at diners any chance I get when I'm back in the states. But if I was a multi-millionaire, I sure wouldn't be spending my days worrying about how the salad prep's going.
