He now faces life in prison. Or, in other words, 20 months in a minimum security facility.

20 months seems appropriate. He didn't kill, rape, physically injure anyone. The money wasn't stolen. He's a felon, he can't vote and he'll do time. No animals were inured.

Ah. But DeLay made his living as an exterminator so he has killed millions of creatures.

These are state charges, so there will be no Club Fed for Mr. DeLay. He'll be doing hard labor in Huntsville.

Of course, that also means he'll get paroled in about a year.

I am sure by now the animals are fully inured to this type of thing.

    Delay sucks. Politicians suck.
When do we learn from that?

Story doesn't mention the minimum or sentencing range for what DeLay did. It also doesn't say when sentencing will happen and if it was federal court or state.

So boo to the APer who wrote the story.

    1) State trial
    2) Faces between 5 and 99 years
    3) No mention of sentencing, but of course DeLay will appeal

No chance he'll run into Charlie Rangell in the shower?

I believe sentencing is one month for now.

Judging from how Charlie looked in that picture of him snoozing on the beach, I'd say that would be cruel and unusual punishment for DeLay. Then again, they're welcome to each other. Both crooks.
