Journalists' deaths up this year

    59 journalists killed in the line of duty so far this year, up from 2008. So much for the safety of a balcony in Amman.

    This quote bugged me a little because a lot of journalists overseas are anything but objective. It doesn't change the fact that their deaths aren't horriffic and should be condemned.

    PEC president Hedayat Abdel Nabi said the high number of killings "reflects negatively on objective reporting and kills the chances of unveiling the truth to the world."
