    On a Caribbean cruise my wife and I took a number of years ago, the ship hosted a free-throw shooting contest the first day at sea. There were a lot of men in their 20s and 30s such as myself, and one guy who looked to be 75. I told my wife before the contest started that the old guy would win. And damned if he didn't.

    My wife asked how I knew. I said a 75-year-old who willingly chooses to compete against people half his age or younger is pretty damn confident he's got game.
