Journalist Bailout Program from TypePad

    OK, so it's not exactly the billions the government is handing out on the street corner, but this is the first thing I've seen extended specifically to laid-off journalists. And, to the delight of many here, it's also BLOGS!

    At TypePad, out-of-work journalists can get free access to their "Pro" blog service, which normally costs $150 per year. It includes a lot of bells and whistles that don't come for free, and you're also cut in on their ad program, so that might help you bring in a little cash while you're potentially jobless.

    Seems like a nice gesture, at the very least. Writers want to write, and this could give many of them an outlet when they wouldn't have otherwise. Anybody here gonna give it a shot?
