Journalism internship and fellowship eligibility

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by Jim Luther Davis, Oct 23, 2014.

  1. So I noticed pointer posted a list of 37 or so internships and fellowships around the U.S. with deadlines coming up in the next couple months.

However, for nearly all of them, they say that applicants must either be college students or graduate students.

In my case, I graduated last June and since I've been working at a good daily paper in the state I live in as one of the phone guys, if you will. But I am also in the process of sending out applications for grad school.

So as far as these internships and fellowships go, am I kind of out of luck? Too far out of college and not yet in grad school. Or is this something I could reach out and see if I'd still be able to apply?

    Any advice would help. Thanks.
