My question on this one: How many of us really have a doctorate in journalism and professional experience?

Bloomsburg also isn't the spot to draw a lot of folks with PhDs. Sound like it's written to hire someone specific.

I'll take someone who's worked in the business for 25 years over someone who written a few features and has a doctorate.

    Every. Day. Of. The. Year.

  4. You have little understanding of what is needed to earn a doctorate. I doubt anyone who has a doctorate or is ABD will apply based listing the ad here. In the unlikely event someone will apply, beware several PASSHE universities are in layoff mode.

Bloomsburg also does not have a journalism program. It is a mass communications program.

Yep. Worst professor I had in college was a 28-year-old doctorate who had like one year of actual work experience. The class was video field production.
