    I don't know that Offerman meant to miss, but I think that ump did one hell of a Sonny Liston impersonation.

    Looks to me like Offerman missed and that the umpire slipped while reflexively getting out of the way.

  9. It's wonderful that they are playing baseball in the Dominican and Offerman is out protecting, whatever he's protecting. Just over 300 miles or so from there, on the same Island, some 100,000 people have lost their lives form a little earthquake last week. But at least there's baseball in the Dominican...it's so important to have a Winter League.
