    So it looks like Jeffrey Jordan is going to Illinois as a walk-on

    My question is this: Even if Jeffrey Jordan were a scholarship-worthy athlete, shouldn't he be turn down the offer and just join the team anyway? MJ obviously has enough money to cover the tuition (it's even in-state!) and the scholarship might be better used to lure another good player to the team. Anyone know how the children of rich parents usually handle this? DJ Strawberry? The Wal-Mart heir who played for Mizzou?

    There are other issues, such as training table, practice and such that "walk-ons" aren;t entitled to.
