Lovitz also played a guy who tried to jump out of a window on NewsRadio...

Lovitz is the only one of the two to headline his own sitcom (albeit animated) ... both have had plenty of bit roles in movies and TV since then.

I think this is like running for the title of Ms. Denny's. You might win, but you're still a Denny's waitress.

    That still makes me laugh.

IMO Lovitz best role was as the scout in League of Their Own.

    You're probably right...

Lovitz may have had his own sitcom, but it was on USA and Dick had three sitcoms on networks...

Like during the Alcatraz scene in "So I Married an Ax Murderer," rolling his eyes at Mike Myers. Classic.

I think the best SNL actors ever (in no particular order) are...

    John Belushi
    Dan Aykroyd
    Phil Hartman
    Bill Murray
    Dana Carvey
    Will Ferrell
    Eddie Murphy
    Mike Myers
    Chris Farley

Lovitz is probably high up on the next tier with guys like Dennis Miller, Chevy Chase (only did one year), David Spade, Billy Crystal, Jane Curtain, Gilda Radner, Tim Meadows, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler...

Weren't the Not Ready For Prime Time Players the original cast members? I never heard of the later casts referred to as that.

    Or Christopher Guest?
    Or Norm McDonald?

(And I'd drop Tim Meadows another tier or two.)

Norm McDonald = never funny (except his shot on Conan's show with Courtney Thorne-Smith...cue BYH)
