  1. I hope it's not just politics that led you to forget this masterpiece.

Never saw that before. Man, did SNL do some completely unbelievable things. Who would ever find that funny??

    ;)

The skit when Hartman and Alec Baldwin kiss is great.

Apparently, Lovitz was able to get over it, replace Hartman in the cast of NewsRadio and work alongside Dick every day...

I would argue that Dick has had a more successful career than Lovitz, who's done next to nothing since leaving SNL...

Lovitz had a small but awesome role in Happiness. Also, The Critic was incredibly funny.

Is that some sort of euphemism? :p

In 1991, I saw Dick open for Paulie Shore and he killed... He looked like the skinny little nerd who was picked on in high school, but he may have had the dirtiest stand-up act I've ever seen and I've seen Dice Clay, Jim Norton, Gilbert Gottfried...

This was pretty early in his career and he did an impression of Mr. Furley taking it up the ass which is one of the funnier things I've ever seen...

Dick was great on the Ben Stiller Show, which may be the most underrated and underappreciated show ever, and was tremendous on NewsRadio.

I love you for The Critic reference. It still makes me laugh out loud.

    "Son loves mother, sweet romance;
poor old father has no pants."

"Who wants to boogie with Baby '37?"

    Correct.

Hartman (Bill McNeal) was in in a mental hospital with Lovitz (Fred).

    Fred: Cigarette?
    Bill McNeal: Yes, thank you.
Fred: I wasn't offering you one.
Bill McNeal: Then why did you say cigarette?
Fred: I was talking to my friend, the cigarette. Cigarette, prepare to be smoked.

Lovitz was great in Happiness. That movie made me about as uncomfortable as I've ever been in a movie theater. Great film, but I don't know how you could recommend it...
