    IIRC, the horse was already dead, or at least destined for the glue factory. It's not like they led Sea Biscuit up to the guillotine.

    Yeah, if they had killed a horse for the scene, that would be the stuff of legend.

    They didn't kill the horse, but they killed all of the actors. Luca Brazzi really does sleep with the fishes.
